Scriptures On the Godhead

(1) I John 5:20,21; II John 1:7-11; Jude verse 4; I John 5:5-14.

    Deut. 4:35; Deut. 4, 39; Deut. 6:4. Zechariah 14:9 - His Name ONE.

John 8:18-23 The question asked is where is thy father, and the answer in verse 24 Jesus said, I said therefore I said unto you, that ye shall die in your sins, for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins. The question was - where is your father.   Verse 19 Jesus answered, you neither know me nor my father: if ye had known me you should have known my father also. This is a pretty bold statement. Jesus went over this statement twice, in verse 21 then said Jesus unto them, I go my way and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whether I go ye cannot come. In verse 24 he said it again. The question was - where is your father. Verse 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He ye shall die in your sins. In John 14:8, Phillip asked Jesus to show us the Father. In verse 9 Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Phillip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father and how sayest thou then show us the Father. Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me He doeth the works. See John 4:24. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works sake. Jesus is saying here, I Am God, not a second person in a man made trinity. The trinity doctrine did not come into being until 325 AD at the council of Nicea under Constantine. Men got together and formed the doctrine of the trinity. Any encyclopedia will tell you that the Apostles and the early church all believed in one God. And they all Baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ.

(2)  Isaiah 42:8 My glory will I not give to another. Jesus was either God or He had no glory.

(3)  Isaiah 43:10-11 No other God, no other Savior. Jesus was the Savior, His Name meant Jehovah Savior.

(4)  Isaiah 44:6-8 - Revelation 1:8 - Revelation 1:10-11 Jesus said I am the First and the last.

(5)  Isaiah 44:24 Jesus is the Lord. Ephesians 4:1-6; Colossians 1:27.

(6)  Isaiah 45:5,6.

(7)  Isaiah 45:21-23.

(8)  Isaiah 46:9.

(9)  Isaiah 47:4.

(10) Isaiah 48:11-13 - Revelation 1:8-11; Isaiah 51:12 The comforter. John 10:30, Jesus said I and My Father are ONE.

Notice in Isaiah 9:6 speaking of the birth of Jesus, for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name (singular) shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, "The mighty God", "The everlasting Father", "The Prince of Peace". All of this was speaking of that baby that was going to be born in Matt. 1:21-23.

Romans 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, or who hath been His counsellor.

  1. The mighty God - This is saying that this baby, born of Mary, is the mighty God.
  2. The everlasting Father.
  3. The Prince of Peace - we know that this is speaking of Jesus. John 4:24 The Spirit of God in human flesh. God with us. Matt: 1:23.
  4. We must always remember John 4:24 - God Is A Spirit! The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God. We must not think of the Holy Ghost as an added attraction. It is the ONLY attraction.
