Righteousness
In
Romans 3:8, some were accusing Paul of saying, let us do evil
that good may come. Paul said, their damnation is just who
would say such a thing. In Romans 3 Paul is talking about
law and grace, the Jew and the Gentile. The one is no different
than the other. Both Jew and Gentile are under sin,
Romans 3:9 men twist the scriptures to their own destruction II
Peter 3:16, all have sinned both Jew and Gentile, past
sin, we were born in sin, but we are not to live in sin after
we come to the Lord, but if we do sin we can repent, I John 2:1-6.
Unrepented sin will cause us to be lost. II Timothy 5:24
some men's sins are open before them, going before to the judgment,
and some men's sins follow after; if we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins I John 1:9.
Millions of souls will be lost, because men take
the word of God out of context. We must always know what
the writer is talking about. We can make the scriptures
say what we want, if we twist them. This is wrong and it
is deadly.
I CORINTHIANS 5:21
There
is a teaching that after the born again experience, we are the
righteousness of God no matter what we do because past and present
and future sins are all under the blood, and that there is absolutely
nothing we could do to cause us to be lost. They use Romans
8:35-39 to substantiate their claim. None of these things
mentioned in Romans 8:35-39 can separate us from the love of Christ,
but we are the only ones that can separate us from God.
Sin in our lives is the only thing that will separate us from
God. God hates sin and he loves righteousness. Jesus
is our example, and he knew no sin, neither was guile found in
his mouth. Nothing can separate us from God but sin, and
his holiness will not allow him to condone sin. Sin will
separate us from the vine. Jesus said, I am the vine and
my father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth
not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth
fruit, he purgeth it that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself
except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in
me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth
in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without
me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast
forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast
them into the fire and they are burned; so sin, if it is not repented
of will cut us out of the vine and we will be burned.

EXPLAINS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD
- I Peter 3:12 - the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Hebrews 1:8,9 - God loves righteousness, and hates iniquity.
- Romans 4:17 - The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and
joy in the Holy Ghost.
- II Corinthians 6:14-18 - What fellowship hath righteousness
with unrighteousness.
- Malachi 3:15-18 - The difference between the righteous and
the unrighteous. He that serves God, and he that don't serve
God.
- Psalms 96:13 - God will judge the world with righteousness.

- Jude 1-19 - These claim righteousness, while they live in
sin.
- II Corinthians 7:1 - Perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- Matthew 5:10-12 - Blessed are they who are persecuted for
righteousness sake.
- II Corinthians 5:17 - If any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature.
- II Corinthians 5:21 - He was made sin for us that we might
be made the righteousness of God through the Holy Ghost that we
might receive the Holy Ghost.
- II Corinthians 13:1 - In the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses
shall every word be established.
- Deuteromony 6:24-25 - It shall be our righteousness if we
observe to do all the commandments before the Lord our God, as
he has commanded.
- II Samuel 2:20-27 - The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness:
according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed
me. With the pure he will show himself pure; and with the
froward, he will show himself froward.
- I Kings 8:32 - Justifying the righteous: to give him according
to his righteousness.
- II Chronicles 6:23 - Justifying the righteous, by giving him
according to his righteousness.
- Job 29:14 - Put on righteousness.
- Psalms 36:9,10.
- Psalms 37:37,38 - Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright;
for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors
shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut
off.
- Psalms 36:9,10 - Righteousness to the upright in heart.
- Psalms 40:6-10 - Thy law is in my heart.
- Psalms 96:13 - He will judge the world with righteousness,
and the people with his truth.
- Psalms 106:3 - Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he
that doth righteousness at all times.
- Psalms 98:9 - He's coming to judge the world with righteousness,
and the people with equity. See Ezekiel chapter
18, God never changes.
- Proverbs 14:34 - Righteousness exaulteth a nation: but sin
is a reproach to any people.
- Proverbs 15:9 - The way of the wicked is an abomination unto
the Lord: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
Sin is an abomination unto God, so we can't sin and still be the
righteousness of God. When we sin we cut ourselves out of
the vine, our branch is cut off and burned if we don't repent.
John 15:1-11 - Sin will separate us from the vine; and a branch
that is cut off from the vine will die, and be cast into the fire
and be burned. It is folly to believe that we can be a sinner
and still be the righteousness of God at the same time.
We are the righteousness of God through the Holy Ghost,Romans
14:17.
- Jeremiah 23:6 - He shall be called the Lord our righteousness
- the Holy Ghost in us makes us righteous, if we follow on after
righteousness we will be saved, Proverbs 15:19.
- Proverbs 16:18 - Gray hair is a crown of glory, if found in
the way of righteousness.
- Isaiah 28:1-29 - Read whole chapter. Verse 15 says, because
you have said, we have made a covenant with death, and with hell
we are at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through,
it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and
under falsehood we have hid ourselves. Therefore thus saith
the Lord God, behold I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a
tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that
believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also will I lay
to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall
sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the
hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled,
and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing
scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
- Isaiah 42:6 - I have called thee in righteousness. We
are called to live righteous.
- Isaiah 51:1-8 - Ye that follow after righteousness.
- Matthew 5:10-12 - Blessed are they which are persecuted for
righteousness sake.
- Matthew 5:20 - Except your righteousness shall exceed the
righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case

- Ezekiel 33:13 - When I shall say to the righteous, that he
shall surely live; if he trust in his own righteousness, and commit
iniquity, all his righteousness shall not be remembered; but for

- Ezekiel 18:20-32 - The soul that sinneth, it shall die.
The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall
the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of
the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked
shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from his
sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do
that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live he shall
not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed,
they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that
he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that
the wicked should die? Saith the Lord God: and not that
he should turn from his ways and live? But when the righteous

commiteth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he
hath done shall he die. Again when the wicked man turneth
away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that
which is lawful and right he shall save his soul alive.
Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions
that he hath committeth, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Yet saith the house of Israel the way of the Lord is not equal.
O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? Are not your ways unequal?
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, everyone according
to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from
all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have
transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why
will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in
the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn
yourselves, and live ye

them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, thou shalt
surely die; and thou givethest him not warning, nor speakest to
warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same
wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require
at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn
not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die
in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again,
when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit
iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die:

and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered;

if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not,
and he doeth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned;

do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness
to be revealed. Blessed is the man that doeth this, and
the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the Sabbath
from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

- Isaiah 59:17,18 - For he put on righteousness as a breast
plate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on
the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal
as a cloak. According to their deeds, accordingly he will
repay, fury to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies;
to the islands he will repay recompense. – Read the

- James 4:4 - Ye adulators and adulteresses, know ye not that
the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever
therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
- James 4:8 - Draw nigh unto God, and he will draw nigh unto
you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts
you double minded.
- James 1:8 - A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
- John 8:34 - Whosoever commith sin is the servant of sin.
We can't be the servant of sin and the servant of Christ at the
same time. John 8:30-36.
- Ephesians 6:10-18 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor
of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore having your loins gird about with truth, and having
on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield
of faith wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts
of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the spirit, which is the word of God: praying always
with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto
with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

- I Corinthians 6:9,10 - Know ye not that the unrighteous shall
not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulteress, nor effeminate, nor
abusers of themselves with mankind, no thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revelers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the
kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed,
but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the
Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of God. We are the righteousness
of God through the Holy Ghost.
- I Corinthians 6:15-20 - Know ye not that your bodies are the
members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ,
and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What?
Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body?
For two saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined
unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every
sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that commith
fornication sinneth against his own body. What? Know
ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is
in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your
body, and in your spirit which are God's.

- II Corinthians 6:14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with
unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
And what communion hath light with darkness?
- I Corinthians 13:1 - It takes more than one scripture to form
a doctrine.
- Philippians 3:9,10 -And be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is thorough
the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the
fellowship of his suffering, being made conformable unto his death
- righteousness of faith or righteousness through the Holy Ghost.
Just saying I believe is not salvation.

- I John 1:5-10 - This then is the message which we have heard
of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is
no darkness at all. For if we say we have fellowship with
him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, cleanseth us
from all sin. If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves
and the truth is not in us. This means if we say we have
no sin when we do have sin we deceive ourselves and the truth
is not in us. John does not give us a license to sin because
the same John said, he that sinneth is of the devil, I John 3:8.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If
we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is
not in us. This means if we say we have not sinned when
we have sin, we make him a liar, and his word in not in us.
- Phillipians 3:17-21 - We can mean well and still be the enemies
of Christ, and not even know it. We must search the Scriptures,
John 5:39.

- Luke 7:24-30 -You can't have sin in your life and still be
greater than John the Baptist
John prepared the way for Jesus.
- Matthew 3:1-12 - Mark 1:1-8 - John 7:15-28.
- Luke 16:13 - No man can serve two masters - Luke 16:14-17.
- Luke 17:1-4 - Sin must be repented of. The key is verse
4, turn again and repent. The Holy Ghost will convict us
from sin and make it appear exceeding sinful. Romans 7:13.
- Luke 19:9-14 - We must not exalt ourselves, we must not be
self righteous as the Pharisees.

- Luke 21:34-36 - Read.
- John 3:16-21 - Read.
- John 5:26-29 - They that have done good, unto the resurrection
of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of
damnation. There is a teaching that if we live like the world,
that we will still go to heaven, but we just won't have quite
as much of a reward, here or in heaven. This is a damnable
doctrine or teaching and will cause many to be lost. I John
2:15,16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the
world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father
is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of
the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is
not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passeth
away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God
abideth forever.

- John 8:35 - Free from sin, not free to live in sin.
- I John 3:1-10 - Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore
the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Behold,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we
shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be
like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man
that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Whosoever commiteth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is
the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested
to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth
in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither
knoweth him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he
that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth
from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was
manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed
remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of
the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither
he that loveth not his brother. When we are full of the
Holy Ghost and pray daily we will not sin. God has a zero
tolerance for sin. His holiness will not allow him to condone
sin.
- Romans 3:20-26, This is what redemption is all about - propitiation
- remission. To take away sin, not that we continue in sin.
He that sins is the servant of sin John 8:34. He that sinneth
is of the devil I John 3:8. If we say we have not sinned
when we do have sin, then we deceive ourselves. John would
not contradict himself from one chapter to another. If we
say we have not sin when we have sin, we make him a liar and his
word is not in us. In verse 9 he says, if we confess our
sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse
us from all unrighteousness. The righteous sin not Ezekiel
2:21.
- I John 3:7, Little children let no man deceive you: he
that doeth righteousness, is righteous, even as he is righteous.
You can't make it any plainer than this. Jesus did no sin,
neither was guile found in his mouth. Jesus is our example.
I John 3:10 - In this is the children of God manifested and the
children of the devil, whosoever doeth not righteousness is
not righteous. It is very plain, we can't live in sin
and still be the righteous of God. We are righteous through
the Holy Ghost. It's impossible to live above sin without
the power of the Holy Ghost Acts 1:8; I John 4:13. I John
3:24, whereby we know that he abideth in us, by the spirit which
he hath given us. I John 4:4-6 Ye are of God, little children,
and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore
speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We
are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of
God heareth not us. Hearby know we the spirit of truth,
and the spirit of error.
- John 9:39-41, there are so many that are blinded to the true
plan of salvation.
- Acts 10:34-35; In every nation he that feareth him, and worketh
righteousness is accepted with him. Acts 13:10, Satan is
the enemy of all righteousness.
- Acts 17:29-31, He will judge the world in righteousness.
He commands all men everywhere to repent.
- Acts 24:16, A conscious void of offense.
- Acts 24:25, He reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and
judgment.
- Ecclesiastics 8:10-13, Come and gone from the place of the
holy.
- Isaiah 3:10,11 - Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be
well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doing.
Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him: for the reward
of his hands shall be given him.
- Isaiah 5:20-25, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good
evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that
put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them
that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength
to mingle strong drink: which justify the wicked for reward, and
take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Therefore
as the fire devour the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff,
so their roots shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall
go up as dust: because they have cast away the Lord of host, and
despise the word of the holy one of Israel. Therefore is
the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he has stretched
forth his hand against them, and has smitten them:
- James 5:16, The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much.
- Proverbs 24:24, He that saith unto the wicked, thou aren't
righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
but to them that rebuke shall be delight, and a good blessing
shall come upon them. Every man shall kiss his lips that
giveth a right answer.
- Malachi 3:15-18, And now we call the proud happy; yea, they
that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are
even delivered. Then they that feared the Lord spake often
one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book
of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the
Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be
mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels;
and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth
him. Then shall ye return and discern between the righteous
and the wicked, between him that serveth God, and him that serve
him not.
- Ezekiel 33:13, When I shall say unto the righteous, that he
shall surely live; if he trust in his own righteousness, and commit
iniquity, all his righteousness shall not be remembered; but for
his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
- Isaiah 64:6, But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our
righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf;
and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
- Matthew 5:6, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after
righteousness for they shall be filled. - filled with the holy
ghost. The holy ghost is a must, but most people treat the
holy ghost as an added attraction instead of being essential
to our salvation. As long as we have this attitude, we will
never see an old time book of Acts revival. Oh please
let the scales fall from your eyes. Anoint your eyes
with eye salve that you might see Revelation 3:18.
- I Peter 2:24, Who his own self bear our sins in his own body
on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose strips ye were healed.
- II Peter 2:21,22; For it had been better for them not to have
known the way of righteousness, than, after they had known
it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the
dog is turned to his own vomit; and the sow that was washed to
her wallowing in the mire.
- I Corinthians 15:34, Awake to righteousness, and sin not;
for some have not the knowlege of God: I speak this to your shame.
- Ephesians 4:21-24, If so be that ye have heard him, and have
been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off
concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit
of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God
is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus
Christ unto the glory and praise of God.
- Revelation 22:11-15, He that is unjust, let him be unjust
still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he
that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that if
holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly:
and my reward is with me to give every man according as his work
shall be. I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end,
the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in
through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and
sorcerers, and whore mongers, and murders, and idolaters, and
whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
- Isaiah 59:1-21 - Please read all of chapter 58 and all of
chapter 59. Please read this very carefully and with true
prayer and fasting, and you will see very plainly what I have
tried to explain in this study. It is very important that
we thoroughly and sincerely and prayerfully consider these two
chapters. Please study prayerfully. Fasting and prayer
is the only way to defeat the enemy in some cases. Mark
9:14-29 - Notice verse 29 this kind can come forth by nothing,
but by prayer and fasting.
- II Thessalonians 2:10-12, If we don't have a love for the
truth, God will send strong delusions that they all would believe
a lie and be damned, who believe not the truth, but hath pleasure
in unrighteousness.
- Romans 6:11-23, Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead
indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should
obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members
as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves
unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members
as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall
not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but
under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are
not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know
ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or
of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked that
ye were the servants of sin but ye have obeyed from the heart
that form of doctrine which was delivered unto you. Being
then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your
flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness
and to iniquity and unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye
were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?
For the end of those things is death. But now being be made
free from sin, and become the servants of God, ye have your fruit
unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages
of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord. The gift of God is the Holy Ghost.

- Isaiah 59:1,2, Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that
it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but
your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Read whole chapter. Sin separates us from God. The only
thing that will separate us from God is ourselves when we knowingly
commit sin. Nothing else can separate us from God Romans
8:35-39, but we can separate ourselves. We are the only
ones that can separate us from God, when we go back into sin Isaiah
59:2. Israel lost the battle because of Achan's sin.
Joshua chapter 7. See Joshua 7:10-13. God will not
condone sin.
Cain's offering was rejected because of sin.
Genesis 4:6,7 Cain was rejected of God because of sin, he separated
himself from the blessings of God through sin Genesis 4:7.
Sin lieth at the door. If we go to the judgment with
unrepented sin, we will be rejected just as Cain was. Cain
brought it upon himself because of sin, and instead of repenting
of his sin, he went deeper into sin by murdering his brother.
God has placed before us life and death, blessing and cursing,
Deuteronomy 30:19. Notice Deuteronomy 30:17-18 But
if thine heart turn away so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt
be drawn away, and worship other Gods, and serve them; I denounce
unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall
not prolong your days upon the land, whether thou passeth us over
Jordan to go to possess it.
We ourselves do the choosing, God will not force
anything on us Joshua 24:14,15. Now therefore fear the Lord,
and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the Gods
which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and
in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto
you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the God's which your fathers served that were on the other
side of the flood, or the God's of the Amorites, in whose land
ye dwell: But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
There is only one God and his name is Jesus I John
5:20,21. Notice John said, little children keep yourselves
from idols. The trinity doctrine didn't come into being
until 325a.d. at the council of Nicea. The trinity doctrine
is a doctrine of men and not a doctrine of God. See Matthew
5:9; Mark 7:7; Colassians 2:22; I Timothy 4:1. There
are many doctrines of men and even doctrines of devils in the
modern church.
We had better make our calling and election sure.
II Peter 1:4-10. Romans 12:1,2 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Oh that God would take the scales from our eyes,
and let us see clearly, as he did for the great apostle Paul when
he was struck down on the road to Damascus, Acts 19:17,18 - notice
after Paul received the holy ghost, the scales fell from his eyes
and then he was baptized. See Acts 19:1-6. This is
how Paul baptized his converts. The holy ghost will lead
you and guide you into all truth if you will let him, if indeed
you do have the holy ghost. Rolling your tongue in your
mouth and making an utterance as some do is not the holy ghost;
that is self or flesh trying to imitate the holy ghost, thus a
counterfeit. The devil always has a counterfeit for the
real. I John 4:1, Try the spirits whether they are of God.
Believe not every spirit. See verse 13. We know that
we dwell in him and he in us because he hath given us of his spirit.
The holy ghost is the spirit of Christ Romans 8:9. John
14:15-18 - notice in John 14:18 Jesus said, I will not leave you
comfortless, I will come to you. The comforter is
the holy ghost John 14:26. See John 16:7-15. Oh God
please open our lives, anoint our eyes with eye salve that we
may see Revelation 3:18. We don't have time to play church
anymore. The old and new testaments hinge on Acts
2:38, and we don't receive the holy ghost by repeating Romans
10:9,10; or by repeating a simple prayer after a human being.
The holy ghost is evidenced by speaking in tongues as the
spirit gives the utterance Acts 2:4. We don't seek tongues,
we seek for the holy ghost and tongues is the spirit speaking
through us.
The plan of salvation is repentance, baptism in
the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the baptism of the holy
ghost. Then we are to live a holy, righteous, life.
Hebrews 2:14, without holiness no man shall see the Lord.
Without the spirit of Christ we are none of his Romans 8:9. Jesus
said, he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved Mark 16:16,
see Mark 16:15-18. One time I quoted this to one of the
finest men that I ever met, and he said, I know it is there, and
I know what it says, but I'm still going to believe what I believe.
And if I'm wrong I'll just be lost. How sad. One woman
said, I will die and be lost before I will accept the doctrine
of one God and Jesus Name baptism; this too is very sad, because
the only way anyone was ever baptized in the new testament was
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Acts
